Hon. Eric Edem Agbana

Biography
Eric Edem Agbana is the Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region — one of Ghana's most academically accomplished and community-invested parliamentarians. Elected on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket in December 2024 with approximately 87% of valid votes cast, his electoral mandate stands as one of the most emphatic in the 9th Parliament, a testament to the exceptional bond of trust he has built with his constituents.
Hon. Agbana holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in Development Finance and Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana, a Master's degree in Peace, Security, and Intelligence Management from the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), and a Fellowship from the European University Institute. He is also a PhD candidate in Finance, bringing rigorous analytical thinking directly into his legislative work.
Before his election to Parliament, he served as a Management Consultant for over a decade, founded Nukunu Sports Academy — a professional football club providing structured development pathways for youth athletes — and served as Board Member of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). He was also Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NDC and President of the University of Ghana Students' Representative Council in 2013.
In Parliament, Hon. Agbana serves on the Education Committee and the Public Accounts Committee. His hallmark Edem Agbana Scholarship Scheme has disbursed GHC 1.3 million in scholarships to over 821 tertiary students — one of the most impactful MP-funded scholarship programmes in Ghana's parliamentary history. He has distributed over 300 computers to schools, installed Starlink satellite internet in 15 schools, and his Ketu North Skills and Apprenticeship Programme serves 525 active beneficiaries targeting 3,000 enrolments by 2028. He has been named among the 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians and 100 Most Influential Young African Leaders.
